Everyone has within them the capability to move through life’s challenges, but sometimes you may need a little help. Using a client-centred approach, Kim works as a partner to help you achieve your goals.
The first 20 years of her career saw Kim working as an accredited music therapist, using music and other creative modalities to help people reach their therapeutic goals. Kim now brings that experience of establishing trusting, therapeutic relationships to talk-based therapy.
A Registered Psychotherapist since 2016, her approaches may include mindfulness, cognitive behavioural therapy, narrative therapy, acceptance and commitment therapy, and creative modalities.
Areas of specialty include caregiver stress (ex., parenting, taking care of aging parents, etc), life transitions, anxiety, grief and loss, with extensive experience in dementia care, aging, and navigating divorce/separation.
