Physiotherapy

Active Physiotherapy

Active physiotherapy is a type of physiotherapy that emphasizes exercises to rehabilitate minor and common aches, pains, and injuries. It focuses on improving strength, mobility, and flexibility while helping prevent future issues.

How to book your Initial Physiotherapy Session:

You have two easy options:

After booking, Gabriela our physiotherapist will email you through what to expect during your session and answer any questions you have.

After Your Virtual Session

Once your virtual assessment is complete, Alice or Anuta will contact you to schedule your next visit to start your active in person movement therapy at Oma.

We’re here to make your journey as easy, empowering, and welcoming as possible. 💛

How our active physiotherapy works:

Who will I be working with—physiotherapists or fitness trainers?

You'll work with licensed physiotherapists who create your plan and oversee your progress. Our trainers, acting the physiotherapist assistants or as wel refer to as Movement Therapists will guide you through exercises based on the physiotherapist’s instructions.

How does the virtual assessment work? What should I expect during it?

The virtual assessment is a one-on-one session with a physiotherapist. They’ll discuss your health history, current concerns, and goals, and may guide you through basic movements to assess your mobility and strength.

How often will I meet with the physiotherapist or your team?
This depends on your physiotherapist’s assessment. In general, you’ll meet regularly with our team for exercises, and the physiotherapist will check in every 4-8 weeks to assess progress and update your plan.

Will the exercise plan be tailored to my specific needs and goals?
Yes, your active treatment plan is customized based on your specific condition, needs, and goals.

What kind of results can I expect, and how long will it take to see them?
The goal is that you’ll start to see improvement during the treatment plan, but this will vary by individual. Discuss your specific condition with the physiotherapist during the initial assessment for a clearer understanding.

Is this service covered by my insurance? If so, what’s the process for submitting claims?

Coverage depends on your specific insurance plan. We’ll provide receipts for you to submit to your insurer for potential reimbursement.
