Holiday Balancing Act: Managing Family, Guilt, & Boundaries During the Season
You are being pulled in different directions.
You’re trying to meet your parents’ needs, your kids’ needs, your partner's needs.
You don’t want to disappoint anyone. You don’t want to drop any balls, or have anyone upset by something you have or haven’t done.
But, as the holidays get closer, you are feeling more tension
Through guided discussion, practical skill-building, and compassionate peer support, participants will learn how to set realistic expectations, communicate limits with confidence, and create traditions that honor both family needs and personal capacity. This group is designed to help you move into the holiday season with clarity, steadiness, and self-compassion.
In this session, you’ll learn strategies to:
Set clear intentions re: interactions and visits so that you don’t end up depleted
Understand when your boundaries are being crossed and what to do about it
Quiet your mind when it starts racing with all you have to do, or with anticipation of challenging interactions
Let go of the guilt around not being everything to everyone
This group is ideal for anyone feeling stretched thin by caregiving demands and seeking tools and support to navigate the holidays with greater ease.
