Meet our Chiropractors

Dr. Larisa Shevchuk, Animal Chiro

Chiropractor

  • Dr. Larisa graduated from the Veterinary Chiropractic Learning Center in Brantford, ON, in 2013. She has been working mainly with dogs and has had many dachshunds in the family. 

Her current dog is 16-year-old Austin, and he is why she studied animal chiropractic. He had a disc problem and was paralyzed in his hind legs at one point and recovered in 6 weeks with the help of chiropractic care. After that, Dr. Larisa became certified in animal chiropractic. She started working at DOGee Day Spa in 2014, and since then, she has been providing mobile services for her animal care, until now!

    The most interesting pet she adjusted was a baby crocodile that was "working” as a photo prop in Belize.

Dr. Adrienne McRuvie, B.A., D.C.

Chiropractor, Clinic Director of Oma Chiropractic

  • Dr. Adrienne’s training is a myriad of different techniques and provides her with an openness to the workings of the human body and includes certifications in Yoga Training, Reflexology, Cranio-sacral Therapy, and Acupuncture. Her training with the International Pediatric Chiropractic Association has provided her with a passion and love for prenatal care and care for infants & children. Dr. Adrienne also holds a certification in the Webster technique (for breech pregnancies).

    In 2006, she became a doula (birth support) to further her interest in working with pregnant bodies and children which has become such a big part of her practice, and life. Birth has a way of putting life very quickly into perspective. Currently, the only Spinning Babies Aware Practitioner in Toronto, using the paradigm of “physiology before force” during pregnancy and labour as well as a Body Ready Method Pro Practitioner.

    In 2021, Dr. Adrienne proudly received a 2-year Mindfulness Meditation Teacher Training Certification with Tara Brach and Jack Kornfield, and is inspired to inject mindfulness into everything she touches!

    Passionate about chiropractor care because of its ideas about what it means to be present in your body. The idea is that through hands-on care, we can be more body aware, become more flexible to change, be more resilient and able to interact with the world from a place of intended actions rather than reactions.

Dr. Sonja Zabukovec, D.C., B.P.H.E.

Chiropractor

  • Dr. Sonja Zab was born and raised in Toronto, Ontario and received hers honours undergraduate degree in Physical and Health Education from the University of Toronto followed by her Doctor of Chiropractic degree from the Canadian Memorial Chiropractic College in Toronto, Ontario. Upon graduation, she practiced in Brisbane, Australia where she adjusted in numerous cities across the country and educated people about chiropractic.

    Sonja has travelled to other countries such as Panama on mission trips to deliver adjustments and educate people about chiropractic and health. She has delivered approximately over 50,000 adjustments since her graduation in 2005. Sonja is dedicated to educating people and works avidly with community groups and athletes. Her vision is to have EVERY person live to their full health potential. She is passionate about working with children, babies, families and being a dedicated competitive CrossFit athlete, triathlete, and yogi, she has much experience of working with athletes of all kinds. In Sonja’s off time, she loves to be outside and be with family and friends.

Meet our Massage Therapists and Acupuncturists

Keith Bridger, RMT

  • Keith is our chronic pain expert. He moved to Toronto from Winnipeg over twenty years ago. After several years of work as an actor - you may remember him as “Man Behind Bar” or “Ambulance Driver 2” - he decided to get a real job. His interest in massage and bodywork started while he was an actor, having studied Alexander technique, and learning simple massage and relaxation techniques.

    He studied at Sutherland-Chan School of Massage Therapy and received the Sutherland-Chan Professional Clinics Award upon graduating in 2010. He furthered his studies at McMaster University, where he earned a certificate in Contemporary Acupuncture.

    Keith has worked with a broad range of patients since he started his practice. He has treated people with chronic and acute pain, autoimmune diseases, sports injuries, mood disorders, TMJ dysfunction, headaches and nerve compressions. He has also treated several expectant mothers, children and seniors, and those needing to de-stress.

Steph Busuttil, RMT

  • Steph (they/them) is a registered massage therapist with experience in Swedish massage, myofascial release, trigger point release, pregnancy massage and scar work. As an RMT, they recognize the importance of calming the nervous system to help relieve areas of tension and pain. They do this by blending techniques that are evidence-based and intuitive, ensuring each treatment is delivered with a grounding presence, patience and with the client’s goals in mind. Steph deeply values a safe and inclusive treatment space and prioritizes a collaborative relationship so each client feels supported and understood, to ensure their goals for treatment are achieved.

Joanna Karadis, RMT

  • Joanna graduated from Sutherland Chan School and Teaching Clinic in 1999. She enjoys working with a broad range of clients from all age groups, and uses techniques such as deep tissue massage, trigger point therapy and myofascial release to customize each treatment to reflect individual concerns and goals.

    In addition to her clinical practice, she also works at The College of Massage Therapists of Ontario as an examiner for the profession's entry-to-practice examinations.

    Joanna truly loves her work and is committed to providing professional and sensitive quality of massage therapy in a supportive and positive environment.

Anne Gingras, RMT

  • Anne specializes in Swedish massage with a Shiatsu influence, creating a safe, comfortable, and respectful environment for her patients. Anne’s careful attention to symptoms and moment-to-moment needs make her a gifted and dedicated caregiver.



    With a long history of body-based training, Anne began her professional career as a dancer in musical theatre. Passionate about fitness and a certified Kundalini yoga instructor. Needing to explore the healing arts more deeply, Anne furthered her studies at the renowned Sutherland-Chan School of Massage Therapy, graduating top of her class. Anne is also a certified Reflexologist.

Christine Schloen, RMT

  • One of the things Christine loves most about working as a massage therapist, is the reality of the body and how each person’s story manifests within their body. You could expect your treatment to be geared towards proper biomechanical alignment (tissue mobility) and optimal breathing through a combination of massage, myofascial treatment/stretching and craniosacral therapy.

    Whether you are a senior working to maintain balance and mobility, a desk jockey striving to alleviate chronic headaches or a triathlete training for Ironman, Christine is happy to work with you to facilitate that journey!

John Yu, RMT

  • John is a graduate of Sutherland-Chan School of Massage and has been working as a therapist since 2004. During his time in the field, he has gained extensive experience in understanding lower back pain and pelvic alignment by working extensively with prenatal clients and athletes in gait-related activities.

    In addition to the Swedish massage learned during school and the fascial techniques acquired from Tom Myers’ courses, John is trained in the advanced methods of the Barral Institute. He also learned fascial stretches and ELDOA self-care techniques, which can help augment the treatment session and help clients achieve long term results.

    Currently, John specializes in working with the “Conductor” of the body, the nervous system, and the gut. Subtle treatment of the nervous system and organs may help underlying conditions by encouraging equilibrium in the system. This precise approach may often help conditions such as GERDS, IBS, endometriosis, menses, and dysmenorrhea.

    In his spare time John enjoys doing qigong, hiking on the Bruce Trail and window-shopping Toronto’s wonderful, independent businesses.

Kim Omoruyi,
Registered Psychotherapist

  • Everyone has within them the capability to move through life’s challenges, but sometimes you may need a little help. Using a client-centered approach, Kim works as a partner to help you achieve your goals.

    The first 20 years of her career saw Kim working as an accredited music therapist, using music and other creative modalities to help people reach their therapeutic goals. Kim now brings that experience of establishing trusting, therapeutic relationships to talk-based therapy.

    A Registered Psychotherapist since 2016, her approaches may include mindfulness, cognitive behavioural therapy, narrative therapy, acceptance and commitment therapy, and creative modalities.

    Areas of specialty include caregiver stress (ex., parenting, taking care of aging parents, etc), life transitions, anxiety, grief and loss, with extensive experience in dementia care, aging, and navigating divorce/separation.

Janine Cole, Registered Psychotherapist (Qualifying)

  • Janine is an individual therapist with a focus on relationships and challenging life transitions.

    Her goal as a therapist is to help clients move beyond feeling stuck, anxious, or overwhelmed by life transitions and/or relationship challenges. To find the strength within themselves to move through change in a way that feels meaningful, and the confidence and sense of Self needed to move out of situations that are no longer serving them.

    Her approach is relational, humanistic, and unique to each individual, working with the whole person. Janine leads with curiosity and is interested in who you are in the present moment and what it is that would bring you a sense of safety, security, and joy. There is no one size fits all to her practice. Making this first step takes courage, and she is glad you’re here.

Meet our Naturopath

Dr. Erin Coffey, ND

  • While addressing her own health struggles years ago, Dr. Erin experienced first-hand the benefits of naturopathic medicine. Those consultations and subsequent interventions were life changing. This, along with her experience practicing health law, resulted in her returning to school and becoming a Naturopathic Doctor.

    As a Doctor of Naturopathic Medicine, she offers preventive interventions as well as determining and treating the root cause of health issues. Dr. Erin’s careful balance of knowledge, experience, empathy, and listening skills results in a naturopathic approach that supports wellness in many ways. More recently, she has also been supporting couples with regards to starting a family. She is passionate about health and wellness and approaches each patient with compassion and care.

    In her spare time, Dr. Erin loves to practice yoga, meditate, read, run, and spend time in nature.

Meet our Postpartum Team

Danielle Keter, Postpartum Doula

  • Danielle’s passion and love for newborn babies and their first few months of life outside the womb is palpable.

    She focuses on babies well being while supporting mental, emotional and spiritual health for parents during the postpartum period (and beyond).

    She is a mother to three and suffered a traumatic birth with her firstborn. She knows firsthand what postpartum depression looks like, and personally understands how beneficial and valuable it is to have someone with experience and compassion present during the fourth trimester.

    Danielle’s primary emphasis is on “mothering the mother.”

    Her knowledge and expertise quickly soothe mothers fears, apprehension and uncertainty when they are finally at home with their baby, enabling both parents to transition into the postpartum period confidently peacefully.

Devi Krieger, IBCLC

  • Currently working as a Board Certified Lactation Consultant (IBCLC) and having worked for twelve years as a Registered Midwife in downtown Toronto, Devi has been entrenched in the work of supporting families through the cycle of fertility, pregnancy, birth, and the postpartum period for many years. Her passion is to ensure that families experience care, community, and empowerment through their most difficult and joyous moments of transition in parenthood. She is committed to grounding this work in justice, bodily autonomy, consent, harm reduction, education, and mutual accountability.
